Irma Zamorano is a is a lifelong resident of the City of El Monte a daughter of immigrants from Mexico, her parents raised a family of nine children in the City of El Monte. Irma learned at early age from her parent who were involved in the community. Irma has been a strong activist and a neighborhood organizer.

Irma attended Maxson Elementary, Kranz Jr. High, and graduated from Mt. View High School. Irma earned an Associate’s Degree from Rio Hondo College in child development.

Irma and her husband of 35 years Gerardo are proud parents to two children and a beautiful granddaughter.
